How to make Roasted Cabbage Steak Cheeseburgers
Heat the oven to 425°F. Trim the top of the cabbage, then cut four 1/2-inch rounds, discarding the root end.
Brush both sides of the rounds with oil and season with 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and pepper. Roast on a baking sheet for 20 to 25 minutes, until tender.
Form the beef into four flat patties and season with the remaining salt and pepper. Set a patty on each cabbage round and roast until the beef is cooked through and the cabbage edges are browned.
Top with the cheese and return to the oven for about a minute, until melted.
